Affiliated Research Facilities

Introducing Faculty of Engineering 's affiliated research facilities.

Faculty of Engineering, Center for Design and Manufacturing

As a facility attached to the university, Center for Design and Manufacturing is a place for students to conduct experiments and practical training related to manufacturing, and is a facility that provides cooperation and support for the production of equipment necessary for research activities. Therefore, it can be said that it plays a fundamental role in supporting research and educational activities within the university.
There are two instructors at the center, who are responsible for managing the various machine tools installed and providing guidance and advice to users. In FY18, about 20 state-of-the-art machine tools were installed, and a manufacturing workshop was completed.
In terms of the total number of machines used, approximately 2,300 were used in the laboratories of each department, and about 500 were used in circles (ENELAB, Robotics Research Group RUR, Formula, Laboratory of Aerospace Technology). In addition, in the second semester of the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering (about 130 students), about 20 machines are used to build a Stirling engine for each student.
