FOLENS E-Letter
My Lecture for FOLENS (FOLENS E-News No.8/August 2012): My 2nd term lecture
Associate Professor of FOLENS
Kenichi YONEDA, Ph.D.
I will introduce my 2nd term 2 courses of lectures. These are the Advanced Green Technology and the Technical English. In these two courses I will introduce nowadays waste management of Asian/African countries. From the experience that I had lived for 2 years as a JICA Senor Volunteer at Ratchaburi (100km west from Bangkok) REO8 (Regional Environmental Office 8 ) in THAILAND, I would tell you what is important to work in the Asian/African countries as a leader in environment sectors. Also I could explain about the field oriented leader from the experience that I had studied about the manufacturing engineering in the company as a team for 38 years. At last I could find with FOLENS students at least one lead for solving the environment problem in the Asian/African countries. The difference of 2 courses is that the former one will be explained systematically and the latter one will be explained specifically. These two courses are deeply related with domestic practice, the Green Technology Practice, therefore you could deeply understand about waste management in the Asian/African countries when you take also the Green Technology Practice. I will take you to the Kitakyushu Eco-Town to show the most typical Japanese waste management in the Advanced Green Technology and to Tokyo Super Eco-Town to show the most advanced Japanese waste management in the Technical English. Also I will take you to the CESS (Center of Environmental Science in Saitama) to discuss with their staffs about the Asian countries landfill and to the Saitama Prefectural landfill to design one of the landfill remediation through your experiment in the Green Technology Practice.
