Training engineers and researchers to support a super smart society
Introducing Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
In Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, students can master the fundamentals of information engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, such as computer mechanisms and programming, and can also learn about the latest data processing and artificial intelligence technologies. Through a comprehensive educational curriculum, we provide the education and research necessary to create intelligent information systems with a high affinity with humans, as well as to build electronic, information and communication systems that will be the foundation for the next-generation cyber-physical society, and we train highly innovative individuals who will contribute to solving the various problems facing modern society. In this department, we provide "hands-on education" by combining basic specialized subjects such as basic programming and electrical circuits with experiments and exercises, and by providing two courses for specialized subjects (mathematical information engineering course and electronic information engineering course), we establish an identity within the broad field of intelligent information systems engineering. Furthermore, we foster diversity by conducting advanced specialized research through laboratory assignments regardless of course.
Educational goals
We conduct the education and research necessary to create intelligent information systems that are highly compatible with humans and to construct electronic information systems that will serve as the foundation for supporting the next generation information society. Through this, we aim to create advanced IT innovation technologies and develop human resources that will contribute to solving the problems faced by modern society.
