Green Technology Practice in 2012 was performed from Dec. 5th to Jan. 30th. The subject was waste management in Asia. First I lectured about the waste management of Japan and Thailand. Then we went to CESS (Center for Environmental Science in Saitama), discussed about the landfill of Asian countries with CESS researchers, visited Yorii-Town landfill in Saitama and took samples of leachate and soil for the leachate pollution removal test. At the end we practiced TOC, COD and heavy metal removal test for soil as PRB (Permeable Reactive Barrier) and studied one remediation technology of polluted landfill in Asia.
