Post Field Reporting Seminar 2010 Autumn

"Post Field Reporting Seminar" has been held on October 4th, just after the winter semester was started. Seven students who have completed their "Overseas Field Training" by last September gave an oral presentation. They visited Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and China.
The focus of this seminar was put on not only investigation and research but also on experiences and feeling of the field visit, influences to future vision, ideas for leadership on environmental sector. Moreover, we aimed to share those experiences and compare commonality and differences among the local regions in Asia and Africa.
Contents of the presentation were diverse, such as soil environment, agricultural production, atmospheric pollution, agricultural engineering, waste management and wastewater treatment. Actually, presenters talked about their own ideas and consideration and audiences questioned from a different standpoint. Some of the presenter had to speak just after returning Japan thus they prepared before coming back Japan and showed fresh report.
Due to time limitation, we could have created more about commonality and differences extraction among the regions. Commonality can also be found from the global environmental issues like global warming other than the content of presentation in the seminar and consider one's own approach is one of the ideas.
