Career path of Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors (The 3rd International Symposium of Education Program for Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors in Asia and Africa)

Education Program for Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors in Asia and Africa (FOLENS Program) hosted a third international symposium titled ‘Career path of Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors’ on Friday 2nd of December, 2011 at the TUAT Fuchu Campus in Tokyo. The symposium was planned to have an overview to current situations of career development of leaders in Environmental sectors in Asia and Africa, which was expected to provide an opportunity both for students to draw a better picture for their future planning and for staffs and related faculty members to refresh ideas on career path of students as well as on the curriculum of programs in universities.
After opening remarks and the description of the progress of the program, 'Career path in each E&R base’s country' were introduced by the guests from E&R bases in the first half, then, 'Career path of Leaders in Environmental Sectors: Experience and Expectation' were addressed by guests from various sectors followed by the panel discussion in the latter half.
The current status of the leaders in environmental sectors, their methods of thinking and approaches for the environmental issues were learnt, and the groundings that should be acquired by the Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors seemed to be shared through this symposium.
